Canyon Tops Fifth-Ranked Orange, 2-1

David Gonzalez scored the winning goal with five minutes to play as Canyon beat fifth-ranked Orange, 2-1, in a Century League boys’ soccer game at Orange.

Cesar Corona scored five minutes before Gonzalez to tie it, 1-1, for Canyon (15-5-2, 6-2 in league).

Brandon Avery had nine saves for Canyon, which beat Orange earlier this season, 3-2. Avery had 10 saves in that victory.

Stephen Gonzalez scored in the first half for Orange (15-5-2, 4-4).
