Marina’s two-sport senior standout will skip tonight’s basketball opener to play for the Vikings in the Southern California volleyball final. She led the defending state champions with two big volleyball efforts last week. The hard-hitting southpaw had 24 kills and three blocks Saturday in a sweep at Simi Valley Royal, which a week earlier had defeated Marina in the Southern Section Division I-A final. She also had a career-high 46 kills and seven blocks and two aces in a five-game, first-round victory at Del Mar Torrey Pines.
