Chaminade 31, Lynwood 8--Lee Grassini rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns in 15 carries for the Eagles (1-2) at Lynwood.
Chaminade, which scored all of its points in the first half, forced four Lynwood turnovers and limited the Knights (1-2) to minus-21 yards in the first half and 24 total.
Chaminade drove 75 yards in 12 plays on its first possession, capped by Grassini’s four-yard touchdown run. Grassini added a 16-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.
The Eagles took a 9-0 lead when Tyler Theobold and Pierre Marcos tackled Lynwood punter Enrico Corona in the end zone for a safety.
