Highland 37, Victor Valley 13--The running duo of Kevin Morris and Brandon McElvaine led the Bulldogs to their first victory at Highland.
Morris accounted for 118 yards in 10 carries. He scored on a 35-yard run and added a 32-yard fumble recovery in the second quarter to give the Bulldogs (1-2) a 23-0 halftime lead.
McElvaine was the game’s leading rusher with 149 yards in 23 carries, including a two-yard scoring run in the third quarter to give the Bulldogs a 30-0 lead.
Highland rushed for 353 yards, while giving up only 101 yards on the ground.
