Upland 33, Diamond Bar 14--Bo Drake passed for 198 yards and two touchdowns and scored on a one-yard sneak to lead the Highlanders to victory in the Division II semifinal at Cal State Fullerton.

Manhattan Beach Mira Costa 41, Sherman Oaks Notre Dame 38--Sophomore tailback Michael Okwo scored on a four-yard run on his 46th carry to give the Mustangs an overtime victory in the Division III semifinal at Mira Costa.

Newhall Hart 13, La Canada St. Francis 0--The Indians sacked St. Francis quarterback John Sciarra eight times and held the Knights to 194 yards of offense in the Division III semifinal at College of the Canyons.

Irvine 23, Tustin 6--Mike Brooks had seven receptions for 45 yards and David Doomey gained 92 yards in seven carriers as Irvine advanced to the Division VI championship game.

Covina Charter Oak 18, Pomona Garey 15--Jonathon Granger kicked a 40-yard field goal with seven seconds left as the Chargers rallied to win the Division VII semifinal.

Orange Lutheran 35, Cathedral 7--Ryan Cecil and Jason Taylor had rushed for two touchdowns to lead Orange Lutheran to victory in the Division XI victory.

CITY SECTION

Gardena 26, Narbonne 23--Chris Phillips threw a touchdown pass to Chris Carson with 50 seconds left to give the Panthers the victory in the City Section Invitational Division semifinal.

Roosevelt 27, Fremont 13--Manuel Esparza gained 165 yards in 20 carries, scored on runs on one and 17 yards and also caught a nine-yard touchdown pass from Danny Ramirez as the Roughriders advanced to the City Section Invitational final.
