SEASON AT A GLANCE: Last year’s Times Valley player of the year hasn’t missed a beat this season. He’s batting .486 with nine doubles and two home runs, and he has 14 runs batted in. The UCLA-bound right-hander has made nine pitching appearances and has three saves. He has given up one earned run in nine innings. Susdorf hasn’t blown a save in two seasons and had a school-record 10 last year.

WEEK AT A GLANCE: Susdorf had four hits, drove in two runs and closed two victories over Valencia in a Foothill League series. He had three hits and struck out the side to finish an 8-4 victory Friday. He earned a save Tuesday in a 5-4 victory. Hart (15-0, 7-0 in league play), ranked No. 2 in the region, has defeated Valencia 18 consecutive times.
