DIVISION XI: Orange Lutheran (10-1-2) vs. Ventura St. Bonaventure (13-0) at Ventura High, 7:30 p.m.--St. Bonaventure will try to win its third consecutive title before moving on to Division IV next season. Behind tailback Lorenzo Booker, the state’s career rushing leader with 8,263 yards, including 2,637 yards and 45 touchdowns in 200 carries this season, the Seraphs have won 41 consecutive games. They have outscored their three playoff opponents, 188-41. Quarterback Jack Swisher has completed 63.2% of his passes (79 of 125) for 1,541 yards and 23 touchdowns with four interceptions. Orange Lutheran played St. Bonaventure tough for three quarters before losing last year’s title game, 34-16. Booker rushed for 363 yards and five touchdowns in that game. . Orange Lutheran quarterbacks Casey Whieldon and Robby Hobbs have split time and each has completed better than 60% of his passes. Their top targets are Chaz Guinn (58 catches for 1,044 yards and 11 touchdowns) and Tony Zegers (23 receptions for 411 yards).

DIVISION XII: Van Nuys Montclair Prep (9-1-1) vs. Lancaster Paraclete (11-0) at L.A. Valley College, 7:30 p.m.--Paraclete will try to become the only Southern Section team to win five consecutive championships. The Spirits won the Division XI title in 1997 and have won the past three in Division XII. “We aren’t really talking about it,” second-year Coach Jeff Cortez said. “But this is the last game of the year and we know it’s for a championship.” The Spirits have won 24 consecutive games since a 51-0 loss to St. Bonaventure to open last season. They have beaten Montclair Prep in each of the past five meetings, including 14-12 in last season’s title game. Paraclete has done it this season with a modified Delaware Wing-T offense that relies on running backs Curtis Brown ( and Erick Jackson. Montclair Prep has usually looked to running back Dal Johnson.
