Woodland Hills West Wins Legion Opener

Sammy Donabedian had three hits, including two doubles, and drove in three runs to lead Woodland Hills West to a 13-9 victory over Palo Alto in opening-round play at the American Legion baseball state tournament at Yountville.

In games today, Woodland Hills will take on Stockton, which beat Yolo, and St. John Bosco, which defeated Hemet, will play Palo Alto.

Hemet plays Yolo in an elimination game.
