McClure, Dove to Play Football for California

Kyle McClure, a 6-foot-7, 238-pound lineman from Westlake Village Oaks Christian High, has become the first football player from his school to accept a college scholarship. He has committed to California and is part of Oaks Christian’s first graduating class.
California also received a commitment from All-City quarterback Cary Dove of Woodland Hills Taft.
Other commitments:
* Anaheim Servite offensive lineman Ryan Kalil has committed to USC. Kalil, 6-4 and 265, was a first-team All-Serra League performer this season.
* Pitcher Travis Sutton, who went 14-0 this season for Division I champion Camarillo High, has committed to Nevada.
* Erin Streater of Villa Park High will attend New Mexico State on a track and field scholarship.
She is the Southern Section Division II champion in the shotput. She finished second at the Masters Meet and fifth at the state finals.
