Bassett Hires Smolin as Football Coach

La Puente Bassett has hired Pete Smolin as football coach.
Smolin, who teaches at Glendale High, was an assistant at Glendale for three years before being hired as the Nitros’ coach in 1997.
He resigned as coach at Glendale in 2000 to become the running backs coach and special teams coordinator at Pasadena College.
