Orlando Wins Wild One
Although the Orlando Predators scored 42 points in the first half, they needed to recover an onside kick attempt in the final seconds to preserve a 69-62 victory over the New York Dragons Sunday in the Arena Football League playoffs.
Orlando (13-4) advanced to play at Tampa Bay in the semifinals Saturday. Jay Gruden threw for 234 yards and six touchdowns for the Predators, who led by 24 points at halftime. Aaron Garcia threw for 397 yards and eight touchdowns for the Dragons (9-9).
