It May Be Hard to Resist This Pick in the Seventh

Share

Resist, dropping out of a couple of tougher races, could be poised to earn his second victory in tonight’s seventh race, a $14,150 allowance at 350 yards.

Trained by Donna McArthur for Desirable Properties Inc., the 3-year-old gelding was second, beaten by a nose by Sum Special Strawfly, in the El Primero Del Ano Derby on April 25, then was eliminated by a slow start in the Town Policy Handicap some five weeks later.

Bred in California by Blane Schvaneveldt, Resist will be ridden by Sam Thompson and has seven rivals.
