A man and a woman were shot to death and three people were wounded at a mobile home park in Orange on Sunday afternoon, police said.

The unidentified man shot the woman and the other victims before he was killed, according to Sgt. Dave Hill, a police spokesman.

He said officers were investigating whether the man shot himself or was shot by police.

Officers arrived at the Santiago Creek Orange Mobile Home Park after receiving a report of shots fired about 5 p.m. The shooter “engaged” the officers, and they fired their weapons, Hill said.

Hill described the situation as a “very involved crime scene,” and said police late Sunday were still trying to determine what had occurred.

Names of the victims had not been released, but Hill said they all lived at the mobile home park.

Anita Andersen, who was on the scene Sunday night, said her parents were wounded. Her mother Sonia, 67, was grazed in the arm, and her father Don, 63, was shot in the arm.

Another victim was undergoing surgery Sunday night, Hill said.

Andersen said the dispute, which she believed involved an angry neighbor, might have begun Friday night.
