Moore’s Basket Lifts Oklahoma Over Baylor

Kendra Moore made two three-point baskets in the final 17 seconds, the game-winner coming with less than a second left, and No. 17 Oklahoma beat No. 8 Baylor, 73-70, Saturday night to end the Bears’ 25-game home winning streak.

After Moore gave the Sooners (15-4, 5-0 Big 12) a 70-68 lead with her first three-pointer of the game, Baylor (13-3, 3-3) pushed the ball up the court for Angela Tisdale’s driving layup with 7.2 seconds left. Moore drove to an opening on the right wing and hit with 0.8 of a second left.

No. 5 Connecticut 65, Pittsburgh 54 -- The visiting Huskies (17-2, 6-0 Big East) beat the Panthers (12-6, 3-4) for the 20th consecutive time. It was the closest game in the series since the Panthers last beat the Huskies, 76-74, on Feb. 24, 1993.

No. 9 Rutgers 80, Louisville 55 -- The Scarlet Knights (13-3, 5-0 Big East) used a 27-1 run over a nine-minute stretch of the first half to build a 41-15 halftime advantage over the Cardinals (13-4, 4-2) at Piscataway, N.J.

No. 10 DePaul 69, Seton Hall 56 -- The Blue Demons (17-2, 4-2 Big East) started the second half at South Orange, N.J., on a 12-2 run, increasing their lead over the Pirates (6-11, 3-3) to 47-29 with 15:58 left.

No. 14 Stanford 84, No. 15 Arizona State 78 -- Candice Wiggins scored 33 points and the Cardinal (13-4, 8-1 Pacific 10) rallied past the Sun Devils (14-5, 5-4) for its seventh consecutive win.

No. 20 New Mexico 59, Air Force 54 -- The visiting Lobos (14-4, 4-1 Mountain West Conference) outscored the Falcons, 12-2, over the final 3:52, with 10 of those points coming on free throws. Air Force (10-7, 1-5) made three of four free throws the entire game.

No. 23 Brigham Young 64, San Diego State 39 -- The Cougars (15-1, 5-0 Mountain West) finished the first half at Provo, Utah, with a 15-2 run to take control against the Aztecs (3-13, 0-6).

No. 24 Notre Dame 54, Georgetown 52 -- The visiting Fighting Irish (12-5, 3-3 Big East) made only one basket during the last 10 minutes but held on as the Hoyas (8-9, 1-5) closed the game on a 19-4 run.
