Beverly Hills senior Riza Zalameda routed Peninsula senior Alex Jurewitz, 6-0, 6-0, to win the singles champinship of Bay League individual tournament at the Kramer Club in Rolling Hills Estates Peninsula.

Beverly Hills’ No. 2-seeded team of Tessa Tran and Tova Hausman gave the Normans a sweep by winning the doubles title with a 9-7 victory over Peninsula’s top-seeded team of Macall Harkins and Erica Schweyer.

Peninsula (18-0), the No. 1 team in The Times’ rankings, handed Beverly Hills (12-2) its only losses en route to winning the Bay League team title over the Normans, ranked No. 6 in the Southland by The Times.

Santa Barbara junior Whitney Peterson rallied from a 2-0 deficit in the first set and took a 3-1 lead in the second set en route to a 6-3, 6-2 victory over sophomore teammate Roxanne Teti in the singles championship match of the Channel League individual tournament at the Tennis Club of Santa Barbara.Santa Barbara’s team of freshmen Brooke Robertson and Kristin Teufel defeated San Marcos’ Kelly Lamb and Annique Knight, 6-3, 6-2, for the league doubles title.

OLYMPIC LEAGUE FINALS

Campbell Hall’s Daron Moore and Alli Krasnopolsky each won semifinal matches Thursday in the Olympic League individual tournament at Brentwood High, but Vikings Coach Steve Kuechel said the pair has decided not to play each other in Friday’s scheduled championship match.

By reaching the final, both players have already qualified for the Southern Section singles tournament.

Campbell Hall’s doubles team of sisters Cheyenne and Katarina Reveche defeated Brentwood’s Jaren Boczan and Cory Burnett, 6-1, 6-0, in a doubles semifinal. They will face the winner of another semifinal between Campbell Hall’s Alison Wagner and Yena Kim and Brentwood’s Lisa Steckmest and Stephanie Marlis. That match was halted because of darkness and will be continued Friday after Wagner and Kim won the first set, 7-6 (4), Steckmest and Marlis won the second set, 6-2, and the teams were tied, 6-6, with a tiebreaker still to play in the third.

The Fountain Valley team of Amy Nguyen and Margaret Pietrowski defeated Huntington Beach sisters Stacy and Amy Kaufman, 6-3, 6-1, to win the doubles title.
