Bellflower St. John Bosco (4-1) vs. Orange Lutheran (5-0) at Orange Coast College, 7 p.m.: The Trinity League begins, and Orange Lutheran finds out whether it can compete against the best. Lancers quarterback Ryan Hilinski has completed 75% of his passes and thrown for 16 touchdowns with one interception. He goes against a St. John Bosco secondary that’s as good as it gets. The big question is how much sophomore quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei will play after coming off the bench to lead the Braves to victory two weeks ago. The pick: St. John Bosco.

Carson (3-2) at Narbonne (2-3), 7 p.m.: It’s a Marine League opener. Narbonne finally got its passing attack untracked in Hawaii by scoring 50 points. Quarterback Jalen Chatman is breathing a sigh of relief. Carson gets to use several transfers who become eligible, including All-City defensive back Sultan Moala. The pick: Narbonne.
