Baseball: Cypress is 4-0 after 10-1 win over Anaheim

There are some people in Orange County who think Cypress is the best baseball team in the area. The Centurions are off to a 4-0 start after a 10-1 win over Anaheim on Friday.

Isaak Gutierrez threw three shutout innings and also contributed two hits. Anthony Marquez had a home run and four RBIs. Jason Baca had a triple and three RBIs.

Great Oak 4, Carlsbad 0: Zack Noll allowed one hit and struck out nine.

El Toro 5, Irvine 0: Bradley Spooner threw a two-hitter, striking out six, for El Toro. Nathan Church had two hits and two RBIs.

Villa Park 3, Long Beach Poly 2: Villa Park came back from a 2-0 deficit. Jacob Gregg had a two-run home run for the Jackrabbits.

South Hills 8, Los Osos 7: Karlos Morales had a walk-off double.

Etiwanda 6, Arcadia 3: Tyler Freeman had three hits for Etiwanda.

Garden Grove Pacifica 8, Santa Margarita 3: Pacifica picked up an opening win in the Loara tournament.

Bishop Montgomery 8, Palisades 0: The Knights won their opener.

Royal 11, Carson 0: The Highlanders cruised to victory. Andrew Nardi had two hits and two RBIs.

Don Lugo 6, Glendora 0: Benny Aquilera threw five shutout innings for Don Lugo (4-0). Albert Luevano had three hits.

Dana Hills 4, Anaheim Canyon 2: Hans Crouse struck out seven.

Mira Costa 8, Mary Star 1: Jesse Storey allowed one hit in six innings. Will Proctor hit a two-run home run.

Redondo 23, LB Cabrillo 0: Jason Dicochea had two doubles and three RBIs and Danny Zimmerman had a home run and three RBIs. Marco Valenzuela added a home run and five RBIs.

Albert Einstein 3, Avalon 2: Sam Stulman struck out 12 and Max Cogan hit a home run in the eighth inning.

Narbonne 2, Torrance 0: Bladimir Becelinof threw a two-hit shutout.

Banning 14, Lawndale 4: Javier Perez had a three-run triple.

Woodbridge 2, Savanna 0: Woodbridge improved to 3-0.
