Baseball: It’s a San Fernando-Sylmar showdown
- Share via
It’s going to be hot, but that shouldn’t bother the players from Sylmar or San Fernando facing off in Tuesday’s Valley Mission League showdown at San Fernando.
Sylmar is 12-3 and trying to show it belongs in the conversation as a top City Section team. The Spartans knocked off Narbonne on Saturday. San Fernando is 8-8 and the defending City champion. The Tigers have been losing to some very good teams.
Victor Ramirez is expected to get the start on the mound for Sylmar. Alonzo Garcia will be the starter for San Fernando.
These two schools went at it in football, so expect a festive atmosphere in the first of two games this week.
