Baseball: Palisades moves into first place in Western League

Cade Hulse threw five innings and went three for four at the plate to lead Palisades past Hamilton, 12-1, on Thursday in a game for first place in the Western League.

Palisades is 7-1 in league. Hamilton dropped to 6-2 after being swept by the Dolphins this week.

In the Marine League, Narbonne defeated Gardena, 13-1. Adrian Padilla improved to 5-0. Daniel Rocha went three for three with two RBIs. Isac Lepe and Scott Savage each had two hits.

In a Del Rey League game, Gardena Serra defeated La Salle, 12-11. Morgan Lomax had four singles. Denz’l Chapman had three hits. Marcus Wilson had a home run and two singles.

In the Southwestern League, Great Oak defeated Chaparral, 4-3. Mitchell Hayes hit two home runs and had all four RBIs for Great Oak. Vista Murrieta held on for a 6-5 win over Murrieta Valley. Brandon Nelson allowed one run in four innings. Temecula Valley defeated Murrieta Mesa, 6-0, and travels to Northern California on Saturday to play Elk Grove in the championship game of the Boras Classic.

In the Century League, Foothill defeated Brea, 10-3. Dylan Doherty had three hits. Randell Kanemaru hit a two-run home run.

Campbell Hall defeated Brentwood, 10-3. Sloan Fischer went three for four with three RBIs.

Sierra Canyon (21-4) won its 12th consecutive game with a 7-0 win over Pasadena Marshall. Brock Bell was three for three with two RBis. Seth Stone threw five shutout innings.

In the Moore League, Lakewood defeated Jordan, 4-0.
