Boys’ basketball: Chino Hills to face Foothills Christian on Saturday

Unbeaten Chino Hills (13-0), ranked No. 1 by The Times, is coming to the San Fernando Valley on Saturday to face Foothills Christian in a 6:45 p.m. game of the one-day Sierra Canyon tournament in Chatsworth.

There will be four players in the game signed or committed to UCLA. Lonzo Ball of Chino Hills and T.J. Leaf of Foothills Christian have signed with the Bruins. LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball of Chino Hills are committed to the Bruins. Chino Hills defeated Foothills Christian, 106-86, on Dec. 5.

It’s a big week for Sierra Canyon (9-1), ranked No. 2. The Trailblazers open Gold Coast League play on Thursday night at home against Windward without Ira Lee, who transferred to a prep school in Northern California. Sierra Canyon is still awaiting word whether 6-foot-10 transfer Marvin Bagley III will be cleared by the CIF Southern Section. His former schools must sign off on his transfer.

Windward (3-9) has been dealing with injuries, but guard Jalen Harris is expected to play.

The other games set for Saturday at Sierra Canyon: Chatsworth vs. Saugus, 11 a.m.; Sierra Canyon (girls) vs. Gardena Serra, 12:30 p.m.; Rancho Christian vs. Immanuel, 2 p.m. Alemany vs. St. Augustine, 3:30 p.m.; Cathedral vs. Modesto Christian, 5 p.m.; Sierra Canyon vs. Las Vegas Desert Pines, 8:30 p.m.
