Boys’ basketball: Pearson Parker scores 31 points in Servite overtime victory

Anaheim Servite advanced to the semifinals of the North Orange County tournament on Thursday with a 60-58 win over Valley Christian in overtime.

Pearson Parker scored 31 points and Cameron Griffin added 16 points for the Friars, who will face Santa Ana Mater Dei in the semifinals on Friday at Sonora. Mater Dei defeated Riverside King, 80-37. Spencer Freedman scored 22 points and MJ Cage had 14 points and 14 rebounds.

Ian Carter had 19 points in La Mirada’s 71-53 win over Lakewood.

In Hawaii, Sierra Canyon defeated Kamehameha, 83-34. Adam Seiko had 16 points and Ira Lee 14.

In Las Vegas, despite 24 points from Ike Anigbogu, Corona Centennial was beaten by Utah Bingham, 80-69. Redondo fell to Bishop Gorman, 63-58. Trevor Stanback had 12 points and 11 rebounds to help Maranatha defeat L.A. Cathedral, 54-46.

Pasadena defeated Nevada Sierra Vista, 61-56. Tyrek Adams had 26 points.

Villa Park fell to New York Redemption, 72-71. Myles Franklin scored 23 points for Villa Park. Long Beach Poly lost to Virginia O’Connell, 53-40. Jordan Cohen had 24 points in Campbell Hall’s 60-54 loss to Rock Canyon. Westchester defeated Desert Pines, 59-45.

In a nonleague game, Viewpoint improved to 10-1 by defeating West Ranch, 64-53. The Patriots once trailed, 21-3. Michael Okparaocha and Aram Arslanian each had 16 points and Christian Juzang added 15 points and 13 rebounds. Austin Galuppo led West Ranch with 17 points.

In the San Fernando Valley Invitational, Simi Valley defeated Sun Valley Poly, 73-42. Jordan Alexander had 14 points. Village Christian defeated Camarillo, 69-55. Isaac Etter had 17 points. Burbank defeated Chatsworth, 74-46. Ellie Hanno had 17 points. Agoura defeated Milken, 67-45.

Ventura defeated St. Bonaventure, 60-55.
