Boys’ basketball: Tyler Dorsey, Daniel Hamilton provide nonstop entertainment

St. John Bosco duo are gearing up for entertaining season

It remains to be seen which teams will emerge as the best basketball teams in Southern California this coming season, but one thing is certain: St. John Bosco is going to have a fan following like few others just to watch junior Tyler Dorsey and senior Daniel Hamilton put on a show.

Besides their dunking ability, each knows how to ignite his afterburners at a moment’s notice, and fans will be left with that, “Wow” feeling during various moments of a game.

Hamilton has committed to Connecticut. Dorsey has offers from Duke, UCLA and many others.

Each has lots of room for improvement. Dorsey can still make his outside shot more consistent. Hamilton can learn to move without the ball more effectively.

But each has immense talent, and Coach Derrick Taylor will find a way to put the players in the right position to succeed. Add 6-8 freshman Billy Preston to the mix, and the Braves are going to be similar to a traveling circus, attracting fans from everywhere just to be entertained.

They were together on Sunday at the Inglewood fall league, playing against Bishop Montgomery. They were entertaining, as always.
