Football: Holmes brothers could be leaving Oaks Christian

The Holmes brothers, Darick, a junior, and Darnay, a freshman, appear to be leaving Oaks Christian. That’s the conclusion of Coach Bill Redell, who said they had not officially checked out of school as of Tuesday but also were not there for the first day of the spring semester.
Both are outstanding receiver-defensive backs. Darick came to Oaks Christian from Pasadena Muir. Their cousin is receiver Desean Holmes, who recently left Alemany for Muir.
Newbury Park has been mentioned as a possible destination for the Holmes brothers. The new semester at Newbury Park doesn’t begin for another two weeks.
