Football: Record five teams make Pac-5 playoffs from Trinity League

With the Sunday morning announcement that Santa Margarita and Servite were awarded at-large berths to the Pac-5 Division playoffs, that means a record five Trinity League teams will participate in the playoffs beginning on Friday.
They will join automatic entrants St. John Bosco, JSerra and Mater Dei.
Servite, at 4-6 and in fifth place, won the formula battle over Mission League No. 4 Alemany, at 7-3, based on strength of schedule and strength of league via the point system that gives points based on criteria.
The complete brackets will be released later this morning.
