Girls’ basketball: Bell-Jeff shows that it’s No. 1 in Division 5A

The Bell-Jeff girls’ basketball team, ranked No. 1 in Division 5A, thought it might face a strong challenge from La Salle, ranked No. 6 in 3A. It didn’t turn out that way.
The Guards improved to 16-3 with a 60-38 victory on Tuesday night.
Bell-Jeff is on a 10-game winning streak.
The girls have helped take away some of the frustration from what has been happening with the boys team. There’s a new boys’ coach and the team will resume its season this week after twice having to postpone league games.
