Hawkins pulls out of Coliseum League track finals
There could be more trouble brewing for Hawkins’ athletic program.
With the football team already banned from the City Section playoffs this coming fall for rule violations, the boys’ and girls’ track teams pulled out of the Coliseum League finals last Thursday on the day they were supposed to be held.
Commissioner John Aguirre said the school indicated it did not have enough athletes to compete.
The sudden withdrawal will cause the City Section to evaluate the track program at season’s end.
