Tim White, the standout receiver and punt/kickoff returner at Arizona State, didn’t have the grades to attend college after graduating from Hart High. But he went to College of the Canyons, blossomed in a structured environment and is now one of the Pac-12’s best offensive players.
“He is one of the most dynamic players with the ball in his hands,” Coach Todd Graham said.
White, who finished second at the NCAA championships in the triple jump, caught 57 passes for 633 yards and eight touchdowns last season. He also averaged 27 yards per kickoff return.
White attended the Pac-12 media day on Friday in Hollywood on his 22nd birthday and talked about lessons learned and his journey in the classroom.
