Baseball: Great Oak is in first place in the Southwestern League

Great Oak came through with a sweep of Temecula Valley this week, including a 1-0 victory on Thursday, and now has a one-game lead in the Southwestern League.
Brad Wegman (8-2) threw six shutout innings and Eli Lingos got the save. Chandler Wagoner had two doubles. The only run came home after a dropped fly ball, a ground ball and a passed ball.
Hunter Tidwell went three for three in Vista Murrieta’s 5-1 win over Murrieta Mesa.
In the Baseline League, Los Osos defeated first-place Glendora, 6-3, in nine innings.
Warren defeated South Torrance, 4-0. Steven Nuno threw a complete game, allowing four hits with eight strikeouts and no walks.
In the Western League, Westchester defeated Hamilton, 7-1. Eduardo Martinez threw a four-hitter and Aaron Greenfield hit a three-run home run.
In the Delphic League, Windward defeated Sierra Canyon, 2-1, in nine innings to pull into a tie with Sierra Canyon for first place.
