Fairfax Clinches Tie for Valley 4-A Title

Fairfax High started slowly Wednesday night against Reseda but rallied in the second half to win, 93-69.

The victory leaves Fairfax tied with Cleveland for the Valley 4-A League lead at 10-2. A coin toss today will decide which team will enter the City playoffs as the league’s top-seeded team. Cleveland lost to Kennedy, 58-56, Wednesday.

Reseda, which was winless in 11 previous Valley 4-A League games, was ahead by 12 points after the first quarter and was tied at the half.

But 6-8 forward Sean Higgins took control for Fairfax after halftime, scoring 18 of his game-high 36 points in the second half.
