Lyle, 3 Other Share Lead at Monte Carlo
British Open champion Sandy Lyle shared the lead with three players after the first round Wednesday of the $245,000 Monte Carlo Open golf tournament.
Lyle, 28, shot a four-under-par 65 over the Mont Agel course share the lead with Chris Moody of Britain, Luis Carbonetti of Argentina, and Bob Smith of the United States.
Six players, including Severiano Ballesteros of Spain, were tied for fifth at 66. The others are with Ron Stelten and Ron Commans of the United States, John Bland of South Africa, Peter Senior of Australia and Jean Ignace Mouhica of France.
