Fremont 52, Cleveland 51--After the lead changed hands four times in the final 90 seconds, Cleveland missed a last-second shot that would have continued its season. Cleveland trailed by three at halftime but outscored Fremont, 16-10, in the third quarter to lead, 32-29, going into the final quarter.

Cleveland (9-7) was led by Nancy Nicholls, who had 21 points and 18 rebounds, and Dawn Stewart, who had 16 points and 18 rebounds. Porche Brown led Fremont with 18 points.

Carson 57, Chatsworth 56 (OT)--Chatsworth’s Dianne Williams scored 16 points, including a layup with five seconds remaining in regulation to send the game into overtime. Valerie Arst scored 15 points, including all three of Chatsworth’s points in overtime. Williams had 11 rebounds and Nancy Steil had 10 for Chatsworth (11-6).

3-A DIVISION

North Hollywood 71, San Fernando 27--Debbie Herz had 16 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists to lead North Hollywood. Sandrine Rocher scored 13 points and Leticia Carranza added 11 points and seven assists for North Hollywood.

North Hollywood’s full-court press forced numerous turnovers and the Huskies converted them into easy baskets en route to a 42-15 halftime lead. Marina Galan and Teresa Thomas led San Fernando (7-8) with eight points each.

Reseda 70, Marshall 62--Led by Dana Jones, who had 25 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists, Reseda won its first playoff game ever. Angie Smith had 12 points, 13 rebounds and 6 steals and Aggie Garcia added 12 points and 14 rebounds for Reseda.
