Orange Coast Loses to Cerritos, 16-9

Despite a fourth-inning grand slam from Joey James, Orange Coast College lost to Cerritos, 16-9, Tuesday in a nonconference baseball game at Cerritos. It was James’ 14th home run of the season and 33rd of his career.

Both teams are preparing for the Southern California Regionals. OCC (31-11), the Orange Empire Conference champion, plays host to Oxnard and Southwestern travels to South Coast Conference champion Cerritos (38-4) in the best-of-three series starting Saturday.
