Westmont Defeats Top-Seeded Biola, 72-57
Westmont College defeated top-seeded Biola, 72-57, in the finals of the NAIA District 3 basketball tournament Tuesday night at Whittier College to advance to the national NAIA tournament, which starts March 16 at Kansas City, Mo.
The Warriors, who beat Biola, 58-56, two weeks ago to earn a split of the regular-season series, improved their record to 23-8. The Eagles, who will play in the National Christian College Tournament starting Thursday, are 28-4.
