Roundup : Mills and Lynch Lead Canyon to Tennis Win

The doubles team of Brad Mills and Jose Lynch extended their unbeaten streak to 21 sets as Canyon High School defeated Sonora, 16-2, in a nonleague boys’ tennis match Friday at Sonora.
Mills and Lynch, Canyon’s No. 1 doubles team, won their three sets, 7-5, 6-0, 6-0. They are 21-0 this season. Canyon is 7-0.
In Sea View League tennis:
University 20, Saddleback 1--Steve Tze won, 6-2, 6-0, 6-1, in his first varsity match for host University (5-3, 1-0).
In nonleague golf:
Long Beach Wilson 195, Edison 204--Frank Pantoja shot a two-over-par 37 for Edison (1-5) at the Seacliff Country Club in Huntington Beach.
In nonleague boys’ swimming:
Villa Park 96, Tustin 58--Villa Park’s Greg Larson won the 100-yard butterfly in 51.7 seconds and Tustin’s Paul Barrera swam a 53.9 as the Spartans won easily at Villa Park.
In Garden Grove League volleyball:
La Quinta 3, Bolsa Grande 0--Tony Price had 9 kills as host La Quinta won, 15-4, 15-11, 15-1. Craig Frisby had eight kills and four blocks for La Quinta (2-3, 2-0).
In nonleague volleyball:
Mission Viejo 3, Corona del Mar 2--Mission Viejo won, 15-6, 11-15, 15-8, 12-15, 15-13, at home. Greg Amaya, a sophomore middle-hitter, had 16 kills and 7 blocks for Mission Viejo (2-2).
Marina 3, Santa Barbara 0--John Ward had 10 kills and 2 blocks as Marina (3-1) won, 15-9, 15-8, 15-4, at Santa Barbara.
