Mike Rendina of Grossmont, the county leader in home runs (10) and runs batted in (38), was also selected, but he signed a contract with the Detroit Tigers and will not be able to participate.

An all-state team will be selected after the series. The team will play a five-game series against high school all-stars from Oklahoma, June 17-19 at Smith Field.
