In the La Quinta tournament:

La Quinta 77, Westminster 29--Amy Jalewalia scored 35 points and had 21 rebounds to lead La Quinta in one semifinal. Heather Brannan had 21 points and 11 rebounds and Tanya Krill had 10 points also for La Quinta, which will play North Salinas in the final at 7:30 tonight.

Santiago 46, El Modena 35--Amy Pham scored 16 points and Becky Elcock 15 for El Modena.

Valley Christian 48, Los Amigos 33--Rolyan Reinstra scored 22 points and Lori Klein added 10 for Valley Christian. Carrie Elasaeer scored 9 for Los Amigos.

In the Santa Barbara tournament:

Fremont 63, Fountain Valley 56--Stacey Hisaka scored 23 points and Jill Workman, the daughter of Orange Coast football coach Bill Workman, added 10 for Fountain Valley (5-5).

In nonleague girls’ basketball:

Katella 32, Valencia 28--Senior forward Joni Easterly scored 16 points and had 12 rebounds to lead host Katella (9-1). Wendy Carlson had 9 rebounds for Katella. Valencia is 7-3.

Capistrano Valley 40, Esperanza 31--Senior center Holly Anderson scored 28 points and had 18 rebounds for host Capistrano Valley (8-2), which lead all the way. Jennifer Harney scored 13 for Esperanza.

Santa Ana 38, Anaheim 24--Michelle Bradshaw scored 12 points for visiting Santa Ana (6-4). Anaheim is 0-5.

In nonleague girls’ soccer:

Irvine 3, Newport Harbor 1--Jenny Cisco and Heather Connelly scored in the first half as visiting Irvine opened a 2-1 lead. Irvine’s Jenny Frankot scored in the second half. Irvine is 5-2. Julie Thomas scored in the first half for Newport Harbor (2-3-1).
