In other Mission Conference games:

Orange Coast 48, Grossmont 12--Adrain Steen tied a school record with four touchdowns--two on runs and two on pass receptions from Donnie Smith--and the Pirates (3-0, 2-0) took advantage of six turnovers to win at OCC.

Grossmont is 1-1-1, 1-1.

Steen scored on runs of two and 52 yards and receptions of 21 and 36 yards. He wound up with 107 yards rushing (on eight carries) and 69 receiving (three catches).

Orange Coast converted four of the turnovers into touchdowns, including two in a 28-point second quarter. A fumble recovery by Scott Seymour and an interception by Keith Burke in the period led to scores.

Golden West 34, San Diego Mesa 16--Derrick Ragsdale scored two touchdowns and rushed for 66 yards in 13 carries for Golden West (3-0, 2-0). Golden West’s Frank Marvitz also had 4 1/2 sacks out of eight. San Diego is 0-4, 0-2.

El Camino 48, Rancho Santiago 33--El Camino (2-2, 1-1) scored 19 consecutive points after a 7-7 tie to win easily at Santa Ana Stadium. El Camino’s Mark Harper rushed for 145 yards and four touchdowns in 30 carries.

Rancho Santiago fell to 1-2, 0-2.

Southwestern 43, Saddleback 32--Rufus Dorsey ran for 60 yards and a touchdown in 21 carries for Southwestern (2-1, 1-1). It was the first time Saddleback (2-1, 1-1) had trailed in a game this season.
