Santa Barbara 35, Oxnard 28--Dustin Spencer threw for three touchdowns and ran five yards for the winning score with 1:03 to play as visiting Santa Barbara (2-3, 1-1) upset Oxnard (4-1, 1-1).
Spencer hit Orlando Bolden for a 51-yard touchdown pass on the game’s first play from scrimmage and found Bolden again in the third period for a 34-yard score.
Oxnard quarterback Larry Bumpus passed for 242 yards and two touchdowns, completing 18 of 34 passes, but he threw two interceptions. Santa Barbara’s Devon Barrett returned one of those turnovers into a game-tying, 56-yard touchdown.
