La Canada 29, Hoover 13--Hoover scored its first touchdowns of the season, but it wasn’t enough at La Canada. The Tornadoes (0-5) watched a 13-8 first-half lead disappear as La Canada’s Marvin Lo rushed for 184 yards in the second half. Lo, a 5-7, 145-pound senior, finished the game with 280 yards in 23 carries with three touchdowns.
Hoover quarterback Nathan Dishington, who completed 18 of 41 passes for 190 yards, threw touchdown passes of 46 yards to wide receiver Bob Rangsuelosin and 16 yards to tight end Jeremy Finger.
