Capistrano Valley Christian 32, La Verne Lutheran 6--Chris Wegener rushed for 88 yards and two third quarter touchdowns for visiting Capistrano Valley Christian (2-3, 2-0).
In an Academy League eight-man game:
Hesperia Christian 26, Liberty Christian 6--Greg Wilson scored two touchdowns for 53 yards and rushed 10 yards in 21 carries for Hesperia Christian (2-3, 1-0). Hesperia Christian’s Matt Haney threw five completions and one interception out of nine attempts for 92 yards. Liberty Christian is 3-2, 0-1.
