Santa Paula 28, Calabasas 14--Senior quarterback Erasmo Jacinto completed 11 of 20 passes for 153 yards and two touchdowns to spark the Cardinal offense to a come-from-behind win at home.

After Calabasas (3-3, 0-1) jumped to a 14-0 lead in the second quarter, Jacinto completed three consecutive passes to give Santa Paula (3-3, 1-0) its first score just before halftime. Jacinto lofted a two-yard touchdown pass to running back Art Marcelo to cap a 71-yard drive in just two minutes.

Danny Alcantar intercepted a pass by Calabasas quarterback Todd Cignarelli and returned the ball 24 yards for a touchdown to tie the score, 14-14, early in the third quarter.

Running back Eddie Rabago (10 carries for 70 yards) took a pitch from Jacinto and rambled 29 yards for the go-ahead touchdown at the start of the fourth quarter.

Calabasas took its early lead after tight end Cameron LaBrache hauled in a 26-yard scoring pass from Cignarelli (nine of 20 for 189 yards) in the first quarter. In the second period, running back Dave Christensen’s one-yard plunge capped a 14-play, 84-yard drive.
