Poly 49, Grant 14--Jermaine Pledger rushed for 317 yards in 20 carries and scored four touchdowns as host Poly (6-1, 4-0) remained unbeaten in East Valley League play.
Pledger, a senior running back, had touchdowns of 78, three, 19 and 66 yards. Teammate Ronald Botley added three more touchdowns and rushed for 64 yards in 11 carries.
Running back Adam Rose scored both Grant touchdowns on three-yard runs. Rose rushed for 59 yards in 15 carries for the Lancers (1-5, 1-3).
Poly quarterback Lance Garcia completed three of five for 40 yards. Poly kicker Mike Sierra converted all seven extra-point attempts.
