Dear Dick Vitale:

Hold the phone, baby!

How can you attack Larry Stewart for his all-too-accurate critique of your broadcast of the UCLA-Duke game? The only real mistake Mr. Stewart made was not being critical enough.

Your remarks concerning the officiating before one call had been made was the worst kind of grandstanding.

You’re not the show, baby!

Please don’t try to romanticize yourself as the controversial “guy people love to hate.” I just plain hate you. So why not just shut up, baby, and let us do what we tuned in for--watch the teams play basketball.
