HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP : Late Basket by Eubanks Lifts Oxnard

Jewels Eubanks’ basket with seven seconds left gave Oxnard High a 64-62 victory over San Marcos in a Channel League boys’ basketball game Wednesday at Oxnard.

Eubanks scored 15 points in the game, 10 in the final quarter.

Teammate Chris Johnson had 22 points and 13 rebounds for Oxnard (7-11, 3-5 in league play). Half of Johnson’s points came in the final period.

Crescenta Valley 54, Muir 50--Brock Jacobsen had 23 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Falcons to the Pacific League upset at Glendale College. The game was moved from Crescenta Valley because the earthquake rendered the Falcons’ gym unusable.

Ventura 90, Dos Pueblos 76--Cougar Ryan Studt scored 27 points and teammate John-Ryan Kern added 26 in a Channel League game at Ventura (7-10, 4-4). J.T. Stone led Dos Pueblos with 27 points.

Santa Clara 63, Calabasas 41--Senior Damian Cantrell scored 17 points to lead the host Saints (12-7, 4-0) in the Frontier League game.

St. Bonaventure 55, Fillmore 51--Cesar Orozco made a three-pointer for Fillmore at the buzzer to tie the Tri-Valley League game, 49-49, but St. Bonaventure outscored the Flashes, 6-2, in overtime.

Thousand Oaks 65, Newbury Park 50--Peter Lauer scored 30 points for the Lancers (14-5, 5-2) in the Marmonte League game.
