Alemany 11, St. John Bosco 6--Indian Gus Lira had two hits and two runs batted in for Alemany (9-3) in a St. Paul tournament game at Cal State Los Angeles.
Notre Dame 4, La Serna 2--Juan Montez allowed only two runs in six innings for Notre Dame (9-3) in a St. Paul tournament game.
Crescenta Valley 4, Chaffey 0--Falcon left-hander Jim Parque pitched a four-hit shutout and Kirk Hagge hit a home run for Crescenta Valley (8-2) in a Babe Herman tournament quarterfinal.
SOFTBALL
Camarillo 1-5, Huntington Beach 0-3--The Scorpions (10-2) swept a nonleague doubleheader. Jefflyn Spahr scored the only run of the first game on Tiffany Joynt’s two-out single. Melanie Richardson (9-1) pitched a one-hitter. In the second game, Jessica Ziese hit a bases-loaded triple.
