Doug Elliott has resigned as the baseball coach at Sunny Hills High school, Athletic Director Ralph Trigsted said Friday.

Elliott quit for personal reasons. He has been the Lancers’ coach the last 10 years. He had a record of 156-112-1 and won three league championships, the only three baseball titles in the school’s history. The Lancers won their first league championship in 1985, Elliott’s first season.

Sunny Hills was 14-14 and finished second in the Freeway League this season. The Lancers lost to Brea-Olinda, 6-2, in the first round of the Southern Section Division II playoffs.
