COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Rancho Santiago Women Win Easily

Rancho Santiago rolled out to a 21-point halftime lead and cruised to a 70-34 victory Wednesday over winless Mt. San Jacinto in a nonconference women’s basketball game at Rancho Santiago.

The Dons (7-6) were led by Tanja Tilli, who had 18 points, and Cari Remmel, who had 13 points, 18 rebounds and six assists. Rancho Santiago, which led, 34-13, at halftime, forced 36 turnovers and had four players score in double figures.

Lacy Scales had 13 points and Noemi Ontivero added 11 for Mt. San Jacinto (0-13).

In another nonconference game:

Golden West 81, El Camino 45--Julie Murdent scored a game-high 27 points to lead Golden West (11-4). Tai Tanji led El Camino with 12 points.
