Reseda Gains All-League Outfielder
Frank Casaccia, an all-Mid-Valley League outfielder last year, has transferred from Van Nuys to Reseda, according to Reseda baseball Coach Mike Stone.
Casaccia arrived on campus Monday and began working out with the Regents immediately, Stone said.
Casaccia, who was considered Van Nuys’ top returnee, batted .284 last season with six doubles and 11 runs batted in.

Jeremy Bell of Westlake High was named defensive player of the year in the Marmonte League and teammate Robert Ackah was selected goalkeeper of the year. Lalo Alvarado of Westlake was chosen coach of the year.
Junior forward Cande Ruiz of Santa Clara High has been chosen the Frontier League girls’ forward of the year. Santa Clara junior Candice Garcia earned midfielder of the year and freshman Brooke Niles of Calabasas was fullback of the year.
