Piranhas update--They are struggling and probably cannot afford to lose too many more games if they want to make the playoffs. Coach Mike Hohensee will start rookie Mark Grieb at quarterback. Lee Williamson started his first game last week in a 47-44 loss at Milwaukee, but he was knocked out of the game in the second quarter with a concussion and will be on the inactive list this week. Receiver Bryan Reeves has caught 22 passes for 261 yards and seven touchdowns in his last two games.
Kats update--Nashville lost to fellow expansion team New Jersey last week, 59-55. Quarterback Andy Kelly has been the Kats’ best player. He has passed for 1,575 yards, second-best in the Arena Football League, and has the third-highest touchdown pass total of 27. Offensive specialist Khelvin Pratt has caught 43 of Kelly’s passes for 598 yards and 12 touchdowns.
