Call it Title Tuesday.

By tonight, softball races in the Foothill, Pacific, Mission and Frontier leagues will be much clearer.

First-place showdowns in each league will take place this afternoon.

In the Foothill, Hart (15-2, 4-0 in league play) can claim the inside track for its fourth consecutive championship with a victory over Valencia (15-2, 4-0) at Newhall Park.

Hart, ranked No. 4 in the nation by SchoolSports.com and No. 3 last week in the Southern Section Division II poll, has eight players batting over .300 and two dominant pitchers in Casey Pickard (8-1) and Lindsay Kontra (7-1).

Valencia, led by pitcher Tori Rocco (11-2) and Brigham Young-bound catcher Lauren Watson, is ranked No. 2 in Division I and is on pace to shatter the school record of 19 victories, set last season.

Crescenta Valley (19-1, 4-0), which won the Arroyo Grande tournament on Saturday, will put its 35-game Pacific League winning streak on the line when it hosts Arcadia (11-8. 4-0) for first place.

Chaminade (7-6-1, 3-0) hosts Notre Dame (13-4, 2-0) for first place in the Mission League, a makeup of an April 5 game that was postponed because of a bomb threat at Chaminade Middle School, the Eagles’ home field.

Alemany (10-6, 3-0), which plays Chaminade at Chaminade Middle School on Wednesday, is also in the race.

Three-time defending Frontier League champion Calabasas (6-9, 5-1), the defending Division IV champion, lost to Santa Paula, 1-0, on March 30 at Calabasas.

Santa Paula (12-1, 5-0) can take a 1 1/2-game lead on the Coyotes with a victory today at Santa Paula. A Calabasas victory would give the Coyotes a half-game lead.

They meet a third time on May 11.
